Miranda & Tobi

Tobi & Miranda

I am having a hard time just finding the words to express the amount of JOY that I had in my heart while capturing their special day.

It was a day filled with glorious sunshine but with looming showers overhead (hey, a little cloud cover never hurts!) I walked in to find Miranda’s mom steaming her dress as it hung on the door, and the beautiful bride getting ready for her hair and makeup.

The venue was serene – tucked into a hidden corner in the eastern corner of Ohio – surrounded by a turquoise pond and a beautiful gazebo decorated with string lights.

And the wedding guests came from near and far!

Tobi’s family is from Nigeria – and sat on a plane for nearly 16 hours to be there for the wedding. Now, that is dedication. Also, the traditional Nigerian attire that Miranda is wearing… yeah.. HAND MADE. Can you believe that?  Tobi’s sister flew to the states to get measurements, flew back and made their matching traditional Nigerian wedding attire with her own hands. How amazing is that? It was stunning.

Also,  I have to admit that the first look that we initiated between Tobi and Miranda in her Nigerian gown was one of my favorites. What a way to honor and love the man you are marrying – a way to show that you’re totally in love and embracing every part of where he came from, who he is and your united family.

In short, it was a wonderful day.

Tobi & Miranda are that couple.

The couple that are constantly making each other laugh and smile, the couple that sneak a kiss and a nuzzle during their wedding portraits because they want to, not because I suggested it for photos…

The couple that when you have the privilege of watching them interact, especially on such a monumental day, that you just KNOW that this is a forever thing.

Congratulations, you two! I’m really looking forward to seeing how our amazing Lord unfolds your future. Thank you for choosing ME – it was such an honor to able to capture your beautiful day!
